The Ghana Investment and Securities Institute (GISI) successfully held its first 2026 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) session on Thursday, April 16, 2026. The CPD topic was: “Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management: Application and Challenges in the Current Economic Environment”. The lead facilitator was Mr. William Mensah (Bora Capital Advisors) with Dr. Daniel Raziel Obeng-Okon (CIDAN Investments), Mr. Anthony Degbato (SEC), and Mr. Kwabena Boamah (SIMS) as panelists. Mr. Ekow Afedzie moderated. Learning outcomes included ‘analysis of investment risk and return, valuation of equities, bonds and money market instruments, application of modern portfolio management, asset allocation techniques and best practices within the capital markets’. Mr. Alexander Williams (CEO, GISI) thanked the resource persons, participants and supporting staff. He advised that based on the expected framework from SEC, participation in CPD is expected to become a requirement for representative annual license renewal. He announced the new status of the Institute as a registered professional body and from June membership drive would start. He encouraged participants to enroll.
