Ghana Stock Exchange course has been restructured and now called the GISI Professional Pathway. It has four levels namely: Foundation, Intermediate, Legal and Regulatory Framework and the Professional Level. At the Professional Level, students are required to select any one of the underlisted courses for specialization.
The GISI – CISI Qualification Pathway is an international programme collaborated between the Ghana Investment and Securities Institute (GISI) and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, UK (CISI). It has four levels; Basic, Advanced, Legal and Professional. Specialization is done at the professional level.
There are no exemptions. Every candidate is required to take the course from the Basic or Foundation level through to the Professional level no matter the qualifications of the individual.
A candidate will write one (1) exam per every level. In total, four (4) exams for the four levels.
A candidate has the opportunity of writing three (3) papers in a year and the other paper, the ensuing year, as indicated on our calendar, provided a student is able to pass all the levels.
Students are required to take a level at a time. Successful candidates at a particular level will progress to the next level.
GISI award certificates after the successful completion of every level and a final certificate for all the levels.
Successful candidates, if attached to a firm, will be certified by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Ghana (SEC) if they meet all other requirements of the Commission.
Such persons are required to send their certificates and transcript of the levels they completed under the old course to the Institute via gisiinstitute@gmail.com , confirmation will be done from the GSE and then a determination will be made on the level they are to continue from the GISI Professional Pathway
